My passion is to companion others on their journey for spiritual depth and wholeness in mind, body, and spirit. Throughout life, I have been blessed to hear people share their stories - sometimes at a beach, a park, a hospital, a restaurant, a school, or an office. Some of these individuals were known and some complete strangers. These stories have been both gut-wrenching and hope-inspiring, helping me become more aware of God’s presence, mercy, and love. Similarly, my journey has been woven with ups and downs enriching the ability to walk with others in Spiritual Direction.
In addition to Spiritual Direction, I love to visually design sacred space for meditation. Using fabric, candles, nature, etc. to illustrate a message, accompany others at a retreat, or for prayer and contemplation. I also enjoy offering experiential retreats with a variety of topics, building connections between staff members for healthy work environments, and creating a self-led time of prayer.
As a lifelong learner, my journey has included Perkins School of Theology at SMU for an M-Div and HeartPaths Spirituality Center for a Certificate in the Art of Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Leadership. I have served in congregational, hospital, and non-profit settings as an Ordained Elder in the North Texas Conference of the UMC. Additional training includes four units of CPE, Two-Year Academy for Spiritual Formation, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Family Systems. I consider myself to be an extroverted contemplative who finds the Enneagram a helpful resource in understanding faith transformation.
Throughout these various educational opportunities, self-reflection, and accompanying others in their sacred journey, I have witnessed God’s transforming grace and healing revealed as stories were told, became topsy-turvy, and then retold with new freedom. I am a wife, mom, and grandmother who enjoys traveling, singing, and riding bicycles. Anything that gets me out in nature to experience life abundantly!
