My passion is to help others grow in a deeper relationship with Christ and experience life more abundantly. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to hear people share their stories - sometimes while at a beach, a park, a hospital, a restaurant, a school, and an office. Some of these individuals were known and some complete strangers. These stories have been touching and inspiring, as well as tragic, helping me become more aware of God’s presence, mercy and love. Similarly, my journey has been woven with ups and downs strengthening the desire to companion others in Spiritual Direction, as a Wellness Coach and Retreat Leader.
As a lifelong learner, this path has taken me to Perkins School of Theology at SMU for an M-Div, HeartPaths Spirituality Center for a Certificate in Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Leadership, as well as The Two-Year Academy for Spiritual Formation. It is a privilege to be an Elder in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. I’m also grateful for the opportunity to have served several congregations as a Senior, Executive and Associate Pastor, a Chaplain in three hospitals and as a Board Member, Writer and Presenter for non-profit organizations. Additional training includes four units of Clinical Pastoral Education, Emotional Freedom Technique, Family Systems, and Leadership Development.
Throughout these various educational opportunities, self-reflection and accompanying others in their sacred journey, I have witnessed God’s transforming grace and healing be revealed as life stories were retold with new freedom. Not only are these experiences rich to celebrate, my pathway includes the blessings of a recent marriage, mom of three children and Nana for two grandchildren. I also enjoy traveling, singing, dancing and riding bicycles.
